document EAST is an online platform dedicated to showcasing documentary photography from Eastern Europe and former Soviet Union. Since its launch in October 2014, document EAST has featured both emerging and established documentary photographers, presenting work from over 20 countries.

Founder & Editor: Magda Niedużak
In addition to running document EAST, Magda works for SUTTON Hong Kong, an international arts PR agency, and freelances as an art writer for Contemporary Lynx and other publications. In the past she managed a promising photography gallery in central London, catalogued never-seen-before works by Terence Donovan, interned at the London Art Fair 2013, wrote about investing in fine art and photography for the ArtTactic, and worked on two consecutive PR campaigns for FORMAT International Photography Festival (2013, 2015). Magda holds a BA (Hons) in Art History and Italian from University College London (2012) and an MA in Cultural Management from Chinese University of Hong Kong (2016). After years spent in Poland and UK (London), Magda is currently based in Hong Kong.
